Mr Bob Jingles (Our Elf on the Shelf)

After seeing the idea around the internet for a couple of years we finally got our own Elf on the Shelf. After reading the story the kids decided on the name Bob for our Elf. I suggested that maybe they make it a bit more christmasy so they decided his last name would be Jingles. So it was Mr Bob Jingles, or Jingles for short!

He got up to all kinds of things while he was visiting our house. Haylie loved him the most. She still talks about him wondering how he is doing and when he will come back. Every morning she would race to try and find him then she would tell everyone she could, no she wouldn't just tell them, she would have to show them. Mum, Dad, Brock and Nana were often coming up to see where Jingles was by the request of Haylie. If we had any visitors they all had to check out what Jingles was doing that day too!

I shared what Jingles was doing each day on Facebook but I also wanted to do a blog post so that it would all be in one spot somewhere.

Sitting on some Christmas Decorations

Day Two
Getting a bit naughty and drawing on some of our pictures

Another Christmas Catch Up!

Be warned there are lots of pictures in this post.

This year there was no room for our normal Christmas tree. I found an idea on Pinterest that I thought might work. I love how it turned it out. It was our best Christmas tree ever.

Caitlyn was very excited when she bought out this present to put under the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve. By the way, it was for me!

All ready to open their present that Jingles bought on Christmas Eve.

Lachlan isn't very happy about getting his picture taken anymore, but I make him suffer through it.

We did some sparklers in the back garden before heading to bed.

The kids woke up bright and early on Christmas morning. It was just after 6am. We normally make them wait until 7am, but Buzz gave in!

After we read from Luke Buzz went out to get the stockings. They were filled with lollies and chocolates and little toys.

After everyone had gone to the bathroom we headed into the lounge room.

Haylie finally got the Dora skates she was after!

Caitlyn also got a pair of skates and in the background Lachlan is checking out his remote control helicopter!

Star Wars LEGO!

And some perfume for Amie, so she stops stealing mine!

One thing that I am sad about is that I didn't get a picture of each child with their presents. They were all very lucky though and got what they wanted.

We had a really nice day with family. It wasn't too crazy and the kids had lots of time to play with their new goodies. I love Christmas!

Christmas Catch Up

Christmas for us always starts with the Christmas Pageant held on the second Saturday in November. It is one of the longest running pageants in the world. We have gone every year since we moved back to Australia. After fighting the crowds for a couple of years Buzz decided that the best way to do it was for him to go in super early and save us a spot. That way the kids weren't waiting around forever and we still go a good spot. He usually gets a friend or two to join him, this year Adrain joined him for a long wait. They got there about 5:30am!

 Crazy boys!

Haylie didn't want her picture taken. She was feeling cold and grumpy.

Crazy kids messing around waiting for the pageant to start!

The big guy, Santa!!

Charlie's First Christmas Pageant.

Love this cute little guy. It was his first Christmas Pageant as well.

It was fantastic, as usual! The kids have a great time and don't let us forget any of the traditions associated with the pageant. Chalk for drawing on the road. Yummy doughnuts for breakfast. Ribbons to twirl and new christmas shirts to wear.

We can't wait until the next one.

By the way all the pictures were taken with my iPhone.
